SPORTS CAMPS

 

These are designed to run over any period from a day to five days. They are run by experienced coaches and comprise any of the many disciplines listed below or as per your requirement. They can be done at a campsite or at a school’s sporting field or court. Our References include our annual Junior and Senior Camps.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND SELECTION CAMPS

 

We offer comprehensive courses for the selection of LEADERS. This course is taught using over 20 experiential learning activities and lectures. On this kind of a camp we would advocate for as many as possible potential leaders/students. We at HiS would then recommend those we think are capable of handling the leadership positions at hand. Our References include Heritage, Phoenix, Allan Wilson, Avondale, Tynwald, Avonlea, Southerton, just to name a few schools.

These can be split into two different camps, namely home responsibility and team building. Under team building we aim at equipping both students and teachers with the knowledge and the skills to work with other people effectively thus making up what we call a team. On home responsibility we seek to equip students with the basics of home requirements like hygiene, dressing and taking responsibility at home.

HOME RESPONSIBILITY CAMPS

On home responsibility we seek to equip students with the basics of home requirements like hygiene, dressing and taking responsibility at home.

k)      PRACTICAL SESSIONS: team building activities

l)        APPLICATION: to equip and raise young people who are responsible, skillful, vibrant, and influential everywhere they go and who will realize the importance of teamwork.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL CAMPS

 

These are designed to harmonize children with their nature. It helps kids understand and appreciate the beauty that God made. It will help them live peaceably with their environment. These camps are run from a little as a day to five days. Our references include Masaisai and Tynwald, all grades.

 

a)      Bush Walks

d)      Soil Erosion: Causes and Consequences

e)      Our environment and the bible

f)       Specimen collections

g)      APPLICATION: children will learn to be better stewards of natural resources, appreciate beauty and develop a good relationship with God.

 

SPECIALIZED CAMPS

These are four-day programs designed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge in different subjects. The target groups for these camps include ’O’ and ‘A’ ‘level students preparing for their exams. These camps are undertaken in serene environments away from the hustle and bustle of the city life thus ensuring maximum concentration and benefit. Some of the subjects pursued are as follows:

 

a)      Geography- geography practicals on slopes, soils, testing of water quality etc

b)      Biology- hunt and dissect an animal etc

c)       Ecology- detailed study of individual plants and animals in their natural habitats

d)      Conservation- of the natural ecosystems so as to strike a balance on nature etc

e)      APPLICATION: students will better prepared for public exams and appreciate too their God given abilities as these studies will be laced with devotionals on Talents

As a fund raising initiative, we are offering you, the parents, guardians, and campers, a chance to recapture the camping days, by ordering prints, PC photo designs or Videos of the Camp Photos. Some of the photos include Chat time, Counseling sessions/ bible study/Praise & Worship, Eating time, Fun time (mud) canoes and horses, Sports time, and Obstacle courses.

 

Our desire is to Capture every moment at camp, and build a huge archive, which will be used by every camper, and the organisation at large, as we forge on with our endeavor: Empowerment Through Sport.

 

All efforts have been made to capture every moment of the camp. We however sincerely apologise for those that were left out. We also promise to improve our coverage of camps, incorporating Video footage to be published on CD, VHS Tape, and DVD, respectively.

 

Prints

Currently, you can order camp photos by downloading then completing the Order Form>>, and paying a deposit into our Bank Account>> (Call in for prices and banking details). Photos will be ready in seven days of payment.

 

Sizes include A6 (Standard photo), A5, A4 (good for framing), A3, A2 (good for poster).

 

Other special prints include Message A4>> (A4 print out including a background and message), Calendar A2>> (2007 Calendar).

 

Photo CDs (for PC or DVD)

You can also order camp photos in Video formats, which include beautiful Hip-hop background instrumentals. Photo CDs will be ready in seven days of payment.
